The Lafayette County Land Conservation, Planning & Zoning Department will host its 2022 Southwest Wisconsin Land Judging Contest for high school students next month.
The competition will be held near Darlington on October 13, starting at 9:30 a.m. A total of four pits will be used for the contest.
Coordinators say one team from each school or organization is eligible for a team award. The Soil Study and Land Evaluation Handbook of Wisconsin will be the standard used in judging the contest.
There will be awards for the first three team placings and awards for the first five individual placings.
