Wisconsin egg production during June was 186 million eggs. That was down one percent from last year and two percent lower than the previous month, according to the USDA's latest Chickens and Eggs report.
The average number of all layers on hand was 7.45 million--four percent lower for the year and two percent off for the month. Eggs per 100 layers for June were 2,498 in June.
Nationally, egg production totaled 9.04 billion during June, which was up slightly from the same time in 2020. The average number of layers totaled 384 million.
