WISCONSIN WEATHER

Strong Showing for Clark County Farm Tech Days

Visitors to Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in Clark County could not have had better weather on Thursday for the conclusion of the three day event near Loyal. Local committee members and exhibitors told Wisconsin Ag Connection that attendance was strong all week long. And thousands of showgoers enjoyed touring the robotic milking system at Roehl Acres, the wedding barn at Rustic Occasions, and taking part in field demonstrations near the grounds.

"We probably had attendance in the neighborhood of 45,000 people during the three days," said Executive Committee Chairman Chuck Rueth. "People commented that everything was well done, from the traffic to the layout of Tent City. There's too many people to thank, so I just thank everybody. It was a great week."

Tent City Coordinator Anna Maenner said exhibitors were pleased with the crowds and noted that better milk and commodity prices resulted in strong sales leads for many of the vendors.

Meanwhile, the Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club will serve as host for next year's show on July 18-20, 2023. Located between Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells near the intersection of Highways 12 and 33, the event will be the first non-county hosted show in the event's six-decade history. Chippewa County has been tapped to bring the event back to west central Wisconsin the following year and is in the process of finding a host family for the 2024 show.
