United By Beef Campaign Supports Wisconsin Children

United By Beef Campaign Supports Wisconsin Children

By Blake Jackson

The Wisconsin Beef Council is launching its annual apparel fundraiser to help address youth food insecurity across the state. Through the end of August, supporters can purchase limited-edition “United By Beef” merchandise, with all proceeds going toward providing beef snacks to children attending Boys & Girls Clubs in Wisconsin.

The campaign focuses on helping young people access nutritious food during out-of-school hours. The Wisconsin Beef Council is partnering with StoneRidge Wholesale Division, LLC, based in Coloma, Wisconsin, to increase the impact of donations. The company is providing beef sticks at a reduced cost for the initiative.

Wisconsin’s Boys & Girls Clubs serve more young people per capita than clubs in any other state. About two-thirds of members live outside the Madison and Milwaukee areas, where some families face challenges affording nutritious, protein-rich foods.

“Wisconsin clubs serve over two million meals and snacks to youth every year at no cost, because it’s hard to learn and grow when you’re hungry,” said Andy Gussert, Director of the Wisconsin Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs.

“When kids get real beef sticks in their lunch, it's a real treat. We love working with the Beef Council to make this happen.”

Beef is a source of high-quality protein and provides 10 essential nutrients, making it a valuable addition to children’s diets. The fundraiser’s apparel carries the “United By Beef” message and the tagline “feeding families, connecting communities.”

“This initiative brings together the beef industry, local businesses, and community organizations to support our neighbors facing food insecurity,” said Kaitlyn Kesler, Wisconsin Beef Council Director of Communications and Outreach.

“Beef provides high-quality protein and essential nutrients, making it a powerful addition to the snacks these clubs provide. We’re proud to help ensure kids have the nutrition they need to thrive.”

The merchandise campaign runs through August 31, with purchases supporting the program through the Wisconsin Beef Council.
