UW-Platteville Launches New Online Cannabis Certificates

By Blake Jackson

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced the launch of a new set of online Cannabis Career Certificate programs, created in collaboration with Green Flower, a national leader in cannabis training and workforce development.

These programs feature insights from more than 50 experts across the cannabis field and offer refreshed course content, affordable pricing, and strong career resources through Green Flower’s Cannabis Career Resource Center. The goal is to prepare individuals to begin or advance their careers in the expanding cannabis sector.

“These new Cannabis Career Certificates are built to match exactly what employers are hiring for in each sector of the cannabis industry,” said Max Simon, CEO and founder of Green Flower.

“UW-Platteville and Green Flower share a mission to prepare students for the needs of today’s workforce through innovative, industry-aligned education,” added Erin Withrow, Continuing Education Institute manager. “This partnership reflects our commitment to lifelong learning, forward-thinking values and responsible practices focused not on cannabis use, but on closing the skills gap in a regulated and growing industry.”
