The University of Wisconsin-Extension offices of Buffalo and Chippewa Counties will host a small grain production and marketing virtual meeting on February 25.
The program will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., where topics will include market potential for small grains and malting barley production basics, fungicide and nitrogen fertilizer application, and variety evaluation. Oat fertility and variety selection will also be covered.
Speakers include Buffalo County Ag Extension Agent Carl Duley, Chippewa County Agriculture Extension Agent Jerry Clark, and Paul Kerber of River Country Cooperative.
