Wisconsin Farm Bureau is now accepting applications for its Young Farmer and Agriculturist (YFA) program's prestigious awards: Farming for the Future, Outstanding Agriculture Professional, and 35 Under 35.
- The Farming for the Future Award honors members who are actively involved in farm ownership or operation.
- The Outstanding Agriculture Professional Award celebrates those with successful off-farm agricultural careers.
- The 35 Under 35 program recognizes young members demonstrating excellence in sustainable agricultural practices.
Applicants are required to detail their agricultural roles, leadership experience, and Farm Bureau involvement. “The next generation of agricultural leaders is shaping the future of our farms, businesses and rural communities-often in the face of immense challenges,” said WFBF YFA Chair Kendall Riskedal. “These awards shine a light on their dedication, resilience and impact. Now more than ever, it’s crucial to recognize and uplift those who are driving agriculture forward."
Winners of the Farming for the Future and Outstanding Agriculture Professional awards will each receive $1,500, courtesy of GROWMARK, Inc., a trip to the 2026 American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Conference, eligibility for the 2027 YFA Washington, D.C. Fly-In, and an invitation to the 2026 WFBF YFA Conference.
Thirty-five finalists for the 35 Under 35 program will each receive $100 and other prizes. Category winners will receive an additional $500, with sponsorship by Insight FS.
Applications are available at bit.ly/WIYFAContests and must be submitted by July 1.
