Extension, DATCP, and the SnapPlus Team are offering a series of free webinars to introduce users to the latest updates in SnapPlus Version 3.
The upgraded software includes improved mapping tools and simplified features for adding crops and managing grazing schedules, making nutrient planning more efficient for farmers.
SnapPlus, or Soil Nutrient Application Planner, is Wisconsin’s primary nutrient management software. It helps farmers maximize the value of on-farm nutrients while making informed decisions about commercial fertilizer use.
The platform plays a key role in improving both farm productivity and environmental stewardship.
Each webinar will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and includes a 45 to 60-minute tutorial focused on a specific feature, followed by a 30-minute “office hour” session. During this time, participants can connect one-on-one with experts to address individual questions.
The webinar series will cover a range of topics aimed at improving nutrient management planning:
- April 21: Adding Crops, Setting Rotations, Understanding Planting and Application Seasons
- May 12: Nutrient Systems and Template Builder
- June 2: Silurian Bedrock Plan Features
- June 16: Annual Updates
- July 21: Winter Manure Applications
- August 18: Grazing
