WPA Offering $100 Youth Pig Project Scholarships

The Wisconsin Pork Association Youth Committee is offering a scholarship program to assist youth in developing pork production projects for 4-H and FFA members. The goal of the program is to encourage youth to become involved in the Wisconsin pork industry, offering opportunities to develop life skills and showcase career opportunities available within the industry.

4-H and FFA youth ages 9-19, as of January 1, are eligible to receive a $100 scholarship. The scholarships will be used to offset the costs associated with their pig project for the 2023 show season.

Interested youth must complete and mail the Youth Pig Project application form no later than February 1. Applications will be judged in the following age categories: 9-12, 13-15, and 16-19.

To receive a copy of the application, go to: www.wppa.org/youth-pig-project or call the WPA office at 608-723-7551.
