Young leaders dive into WI pork industry

By Blake Jackson

The Wisconsin Pork Association is thrilled to introduce a new avenue for youth aged 13-18, passionate about agriculture, particularly in the swine sector - the WPA Young Leaders’ Program. Scheduled for July 16th, 2024, at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Pioneer Farm, this one-day event promises an enriching experience.

Geared towards nurturing a deeper understanding of Wisconsin’s pork industry and fostering connections with agricultural professionals across the state, this program offers a comprehensive insight into pork production, various career pathways, agricultural advocacy, professionalism, and more.

Designed to empower young individuals keen on exploring the intricacies of the pork industry, the WPA Young Leaders’ Program presents an invaluable opportunity for personal and professional growth. Participants can anticipate a day filled with engaging sessions, hands-on learning experiences, and networking opportunities.

To secure a spot in this enriching program, interested individuals are encouraged to register by June 30th. For further details and registration, visit wppa.org/youth, or contact the Wisconsin Pork Association at 608-723-7551 or via email at mworek@wppa.org. Don't miss out on this chance to embark on a journey towards becoming a future leader in Wisconsin’s vibrant agricultural landscape!
