Wisconsin FFA Ready for Virtual National Convention
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/20/2020

FFA members from across the country will carry on their tradition of excellence next week as they take part in the first-ever virtual National FFA Convention, slated to be held October 27-29.

Dallas Kreisa and Anna Seifert of the Plymouth FFA will be recognized as finalists for their Plant Systems entry in the National Agriscience Fair. Ten other members will be competing as national finalists for Proficiency Awards. And 143 students from the Badger State will be receiving their American FFA Degrees.

Meanwhile, many local chapters will also be recognized during the online conference as Wisconsin programs will be honored as three-star chapters. They include Barron, Big Foot, Cochrane-Fountain City, Columbus, DeForest, Denmark, Freedom, Granton, and Lake Geneva Badger.

Wisconsin's delegation will not have any students competing for the coveted American Star awards this year, nor does the state have a national officer candidate. However, immediate-past Wisconsin FFA President Collin Weltzien of Arcadia will serve as chairman of the officer nominating committee.
