Wisconsin 4-H License Plates Still Available to Motorists
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/08/2019
The new Wisconsin 4-H specialty license plates are still available through the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles. The plates bear the message '4-H Empowering Youth.' The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation applied to make the plates available to state
motorists using a new process for sponsoring an Authorized Special Group license plate.
As part of the program, the 4-H would get $25 for each plate registered in the state. Vehicle owners who register cars, trucks or motor homes are eligible to obtain the new plates.
"This is a great way for our 4-H families, alumni and supporters to show their 4-H pride," said Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Director Brenda Scheider. "Half of the proceeds from every plate sale will go back to the county in which the plate was purchased. The
other half will be used for state and regional 4-H programs."
The DMV says 4-H license plates may also be personalized by paying an additional $15 fee each year in addition to the $25 donation and regular annual registration fee.
