USDA Offers Loans for Producers Impacted by Natural Disasters
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/09/2018
Wisconsin farmers in certain counties who lost property this summer due to recent natural disasters may be eligible for USDA physical loss loans. The Farm Service Agency is offering these low-interest loans for losses caused by two separate disaster events
The FSA says producers in La Crosse and Vernon Counties that incurred damages from excessive rain, flash flooding and high winds on August 28-29 may apply for emergency loans.
Also, farmers in Pepin and Pierce Counties are eligible for losses incurred from a tornado that occurred on August 27.
Approval is limited to applicants who suffered severe physical losses only, including the loss of buildings and livestock.
