Latest WI Crop Report: 66% Corn, 86% Soybeans Harvested
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 12/03/2019

Farmers got a short window of favorable conditions at the beginning of the past week to complete their fall harvest. The Wisconsin Ag Statistics Service issued another extended crop/weather summary on Monday, which noted that high grain moistures continued to impede grain storage as driers were going full blast as crops came in. Back-to-back winter storms then slowed or halted fieldwork for the rest of the week.

Crop scouts estimate that 66 percent of the corn for grain was harvested as of Sunday. That's 22 days behind last year and 21 days behind the five-year average. The moisture content was reported at 23 percent.

Soybean farmers have about 86 percent of their crop off the fields, which is 19 days behind the 2018 harvest.
