Midwest Horse Fair Kicks-Off in Madison
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 04/12/2019

Horse owners from all over the country are heading to Madison this weekend for the 40th Annual Midwest Horse Fair. The event, which is sponsored by the Wisconsin State Horse Council, is being held at the Alliant Energy Center on April 12-14, where people involved in the equine industry can attend educational seminars or learn about the latest products available through hundreds of exhibitors at the show.

Organizers say this year's Grand March will feature 30 breeds of horses, ranging from tiny miniature animals to giant draft horses that are 17 hands tall.

New this year is the Mustang Challenge, where 56 equine trainers were matched with wild Mustangs in January and will demonstrate their animals' natural abilities at the show.

As always, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo takes place Friday and Saturday night at the Coliseum. World-class trainers, Olympians and equine experts will lead more than 300 clinics, seminars and educational events throughout the weekend.

And visitors will have plenty of choices for lunch, as scores of food vendors will offer everything from pizza to turkey on a stick.

The cost to attend the Midwest Horse Fair is $20.00 per day. For more information about all the weekend's activities, go to:
