Fairest of the Fair Cayley Vande Berg to Serve Through 2022
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/02/2020

With so many events being canceled this summer, Wisconsin's Fairs of the Fairs has been granted a one year extension of her reign in order to maximize her experience as the spokesperson for the Wisconsin Association of Fairs. The group announced that Cayley Vande Berg of Rosendale will serve for the next two fair seasons before giving up the title in January 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"While Cayley would normally be traveling all summer throughout the state promoting the educational, agricultural, social, cultural and commercial opportunities available at Wisconsin's great fairs, her focus will shift to making limited appearances during the remainder of 2020 in hopes of returning to traveling in 2021," said WAF Director Jayme Buttke.

Vande Berg was crowned as the state's 54th Fairest of the Fairs on January 8. As part of her duties, she also serves as the official hostess of the Wisconsin State Fair, which has since been called off for 2020.

A graduate of Laconia High School, Cayley is attending the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to earn a degree in dairy science. She has also been employed at Rosendale Dairy, which is Wisconsin's largest dairy farm.
