'Adeline' Earns Top Honors During State Fair Dairy Show

A Red & White Holstein cow exhibited by Michael Moede of Kewaunee County was named Supreme Champion of the Wisconsin State Fair Junior Dairy Show over the weekend. 'Mead-Manor Def Adeline-Red' topped nearly 600 entries during the event near Milwaukee, which is known for being the largest and most competitive junior dairy show in the world. Moede received a $1,000 cash prize made possible through the generous support of Dairyland Youth Celebration sponsors.

The Reserve Supreme Champion was the Grand Champion Holstein, 'Butlerview GC Awesome.' She was exhibited by Grady Wendorf of Dodge County, who also earned $1,000.

Vanessa Roberts, Manitowoc County, showed the Supreme Champion Heifer, a Red & White named 'Siemers Avch Greeter-Red.'

Meanwhile, this year's Supreme Champion Showperson of the Wisconsin State Fair Junior Dairy Show was Ashley Hagenow of Columbia County. And the Best Doe in the Show, representing the Wisconsin State Fair Junior Dairy Goat Show, was exhibited by Lexi Olsen of Rock County, while the Supreme Champion Showperson of the goat show was Lyndsay Fenner from Sheboygan County. Both exhibitors received a $1,000 cash prize.

The Wisconsin State Fair continues through Sunday.
