Apply Now: Wisconsin State Fair's Farm Legacy Awards

The Wisconsin State Fair is now accepting applications for the 2024 Century and Sesquicentennial Farm and Home Award. This award honors families who have owned and operated farms in Wisconsin for 100 or 150 years.

To qualify, families must provide proof of continuous ownership of their property. All honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony during the 2024 Wisconsin State Fair, which takes place August 1-11.

Honorees will receive free State Fair admission tickets, an invitation to an awards breakfast, a commemorative photo, a certificate, and an outdoor display sign.

The Century Farm and Home Program began in 1948 to celebrate Wisconsin's centennial. There are currently over 9,900 Century Farms and Homes in the state. The Sesquicentennial Program began in 1998 to celebrate Wisconsin's 150th anniversary and has honored over 1,000 families.

Applications for the Century and Sesquicentennial Farm and Home Award are available now and must be postmarked by March 1, 2024. Applications are not available online and only one certificate may be issued per property.
