Bozic to Serve as Board Adviser to Edge Dairy Co-op

An assistant professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota has been chosen as one of the new advisors to the Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative board of directors. Marin Bozic, who is known as one of the leading dairy economists in the country, will help the board consider the effects of the various complex issues affecting farmers and processors as the co-op forms its federal advocacy positions.

Dr. Bozic's study areas include analysis of dairy policy, risk management and demand for dairy products.

"This will be particularly important as Congress begins to shape the 2023 farm bill during the next year," said Edge Board President Brody Stapel. "We want to make sure we are seeing the full picture so that we can push for the most effective policies in Washington."

Bozic is also a co-creator of the USDA's Dairy Revenue Protection.
