The USDA announced that the January Federal Order Class III milk price rose to $16.04 per hundredweight. That was 32-cents higher for the month, but $1.01 below January 2020.
During the 2020 calendar year, the Class III price averaged $18.16--with $12.14 being the lowest monthly price during May and peaked at $24.64 in July.
The Class IV component price was 39-cents higher than last month at $13.75, but $2.90 less than last year.
