Evenson Crowned 2021 State Honey Queen



A Dane County women will be creating a lot of buzz about the state's honey industry during the coming year. Anna Evenson of Cambridge has been selected as the 2021 Wisconsin Honey Queen during the state honey association's annual meeting.

Evenson is a student at the the University of Wisconsin-Platteville majoring in Dairy Science with an emphasis in Public Relations. As honey queen, she will be available to speak with civic groups and appear at fairs, festivals, and farmers markets. She will also give presentations in schools about honeybees and the beekeeping industry.

In January 2022, Anna will represent Wisconsin at the American Honey Queen competition in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, last year's queen, Jennifer Hinkel of Franklin, has recently been named the American Honey Queen.
