Collaborative platform for Wisconsin dairy producers

Collaborative platform for Wisconsin dairy producers

By Blake Jackson

Attention Wisconsin dairy producers utilizing Automatic Milking Systems (AMS)! The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension has created a user group specifically for you. This group fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing among AMS users, providing a valuable platform to connect with peers, access expert guidance, and contribute to research efforts. By working together, the group aims to help farms optimize their AMS operations, ultimately enhancing efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Facilitated by university specialists, the AMS user group offers a chance to learn from the experiences of fellow AMS users and glean insights from industry experts. Meetings will be held three times a year at various locations across the state, allowing for regional participation and knowledge exchange.

The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, from 1 to 3:30 pm, with both in-person attendance in Wausau, WI, and virtual participation options available. Some meetings may even include optional tours of operational AMS farms, providing a firsthand look at successful implementation strategies.

For more information, contact Carolina Pinzón at Carolina.pinzon@wisc.edu or visit the AMS User Group website https://go.wisc.edu/Ext-AMS
