Equity Co-op's Lightner Earns Licensed Commodity Broker Status

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association has announced that Bob Lightner has passed the complex Series 3 Commodity Broker exam. The test is administered by the Financial Agency Regulatory Authority on behalf of the National Futures Association.

With the designation, he will be able to assist with commodity brokerage through Allendale, Inc. and coordinate cattle contracts.

"The cooperative continues to offer full-service commodity trading, and Lightner looks forward to assisting members with their commodity needs," said Equity Marketing Vice President Dave Johnson.

Headquartered in Baraboo, the co-op operates 11 auction markets and has collection points in Ettrick and Menominee, Michigan, as well as a hog and cattle marketing center in Arlington.
