State corn growers elected a new director and re-elected two other producers to the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board.
In a recent mail-in ballot election, Zachary Soltvedt of Seymour was chosen to sit on the nine-member panel as a representative from District 3, while District 6 director Ryan Ripp from Dane and James Zimmerman, Fennimore, from District 5, were re-elected as board members.
Their new terms of office began on February 1 and run through 2024.
The Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board is responsible for collecting corn assessments and funding programs aimed at developing new corn products and markets including support for ethanol production in Wisconsin.
