Learn and give back at farm Wisconsin on MLK day

By Blake Jackson

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Farm Wisconsin invites you to join them for a day of learning, giving back, and family fun! On Monday, January 15th, help fight hunger in our community by participating in their food drive for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.

Donate a non-perishable food item and receive half-priced admission to explore the Discovery Center! From 9 am to 4 pm, embark on a journey through hands-on exhibits showcasing Wisconsin's food, fuel, and fiber production. Dive into interactive displays, visit the Land O'Lakes birthing barn, and take a virtual tour of a local dairy farm.

Need a break from exploring? Grab a delicious bite at the Wisconsin Café, open from 8 am to 2:30 pm. It's the perfect place to refuel and reconnect with your family before continuing your educational adventure.

"We're thrilled to combine the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a meaningful opportunity to support our community," says Abigail Winkel, Farm Wisconsin brand manager. "By offering discounted admission in exchange for food donations, we hope to inspire families to learn, connect, and contribute to a cause close to Dr. King's heart."

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin plays a crucial role in providing food assistance to families struggling with hunger across the state. Your donation of canned goods, dried food, fresh fruits and vegetables, or toiletry items will help nourish those in need and pave the way for a brighter future.

Don't miss this chance to celebrate Dr. King's legacy while enjoying a fun and educational day at Farm Wisconsin!
