The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Amy Myrdal Miller, MS, RDN, FAND of Farmer's Daughter Consulting will join Assistant Professor Josie Rudolphi, PhD with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering to talk about how farmers can reduce stress to combat mental health issues and why a healthy diet along with plenty of rest plays a role in overall mental health.
A panel of dairy producers will be featured on Wednesday's episode to share how they began their farmstead cheese operations. Panelists include Jake Feltz, Feltz's Dairy Store; Ben Shibler, Ponderosa Farmstead; and Alise Sjostrom, Redhead Creamery/Jer-Lindy Farms.
And on Thursday, Dr. Jason Kroll of Lodi Veterinary Care and Sherri Meinholz with Blue Star Dairy Farms will cover how ultrasounding allows you to look at calf lungs for evidence of damage from calfhood pneumonia.
All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
