PDPW, UW-Discovery Farms to Host 'Water Tours'

The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin is teaming up with the University of Wisconsin-Discovery Farms program, the Wisconsin Towns Association and the Wisconsin Counties Association in holding so-called Water Tours this fall. The purpose of the charter bus tours are to provide local elected officials, dairy producers and community leaders the opportunity to see the latest in water management practices.

The trips will be held September 21 in the Wausau area, and September 22 near Barron.

The first day includes stops at Miltrim Farm Inc., Ross Ginseng and Bull Falls Brewery. Day-two will include tours of Jennie-O Turkey, Four Mile Creek Dairy, and Viresco.

Space is limited and each day's tours includes bus travel, refreshments and lunch.

For more information about the Water Tours or to register, go to www.pdpw.org or call 800-947-7379.
