Over 400 entries were judged this past week in the 2021 Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Products Contest. The competition took place June 24 at Wisconsin State Fair Park, where 49 classes were evaluated in such categories as flavor, appearance and texture.
The Grand Master Cheesemaker, along with this year's other winning cheesemakers, will be recognized during the Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Auction on August 12 at the state fair.
The Blue Ribbon Cheese & Butter Auction, which features the sale of the blue-ribbon entries, is a fundraiser for the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board.
Auction proceeds fund scholarships for students pursuing dairy-related degrees and support the facility's new interactive educational display.
