This is Ag Safety Awareness Program Week!

State and national Farm Bureau organizations will be launching a social media campaign starting Monday to encourage people to be safe on the farm. It's all part of the 2021 Agricultural Safety Awareness Program Week.

Coordinators say the theme this year is 'Driving Safety Home.'

"Farm safety and mental health are always top priority, but both come front and center as we recognize national Agricultural Safety Awareness Program Week," said Wisconsin Farm Bureau President Kevin Krentz. "As we approach the busy planting season, we also encourage farmers to check and maintain all safety mechanisms."

Each day this week, the WFBF will highlight a different area of emphasis on its Facebook page, ranging from roadway safety to mental health awareness.

People are encouraged to like the various posts and share the content in order to spread awareness of farm safety and health.
