The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension is hosting the inaugural Wisconsin Ag Law Update webinar on December 4, 2024, at noon CST. This new biannual series aims to keep farmers and agricultural professionals informed about key legal developments affecting Wisconsin farms.
A recent survey by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection highlighted that many dairy farmers view regulations as a significant challenge to their operations' future.
This concern extends beyond dairy, as navigating the complex and ever-evolving landscape of laws and regulations can overwhelm farmers. Keeping up with state and federal legislation, regulatory changes, and relevant case law requires constant vigilance.
To address this need, the webinar will feature Kelly T. Wilfert, J.D., an attorney and Farm Law Outreach Specialist. Wilfert will provide a concise, practical overview of recent and proposed legal changes that could affect Wisconsin farmers. This one-hour session is designed to equip participants with actionable knowledge to manage these challenges effectively.
For questions or additional information, contact Kelly T. Wilfert directly at kelly.wilfert@wisc.edu or call 608-263-5798.
This free session is an excellent opportunity for farmers and agricultural professionals to stay informed and proactive about the legal environment shaping Wisconsin agriculture.
