The Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board is offering $1,000 scholarships for students pursuing dairy-related or food science degrees during the 2025-26 academic year. Eligible applicants include Wisconsin residents enrolled full-time at a four-year college, university, or technical school within the state. Applicants must be third or fourth-year college students or second-year short course/technical college students. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply.
To apply, candidates must submit an electronic application in PDF format by January 15, 2025. Applications should be saved as "Last Name, First Name" and emailed to programassistant@wsfdairypromo.org with the subject line: "Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board Scholarship Application." A separate transcript must also be attached. Handwritten or mailed applications and transcripts will not be accepted.
Scholarship selection criteria include leadership and involvement in dairy-related activities, academic performance, and career goals. Finalists will be selected and invited for interviews during business hours on a specified date. Scholarship winners will be recognized at the 2025 Wisconsin State Fair.
Recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher and provide documentation of continued enrollment for the second semester, including transcripts and registration details. Scholarships will be disbursed after the first semester's completion and once all required documents are submitted. Additionally, recipients (or their representatives) must volunteer for one shift in Dairy Lane at the 2025 Wisconsin State Fair.
