The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced that 15 projects have been selected to receive more than $1.12 million in USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant funding. Grants are awarded to projects intended to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crop industries through research, education, or market development. The projects funded this year pertain to ginseng, honeyberries, apples, elderberries, maple syrup, and other specialty crops. A complete list of funded projects is available online.
