In November 2024, Wisconsin farmers saw a slight increase in the price of corn, which averaged $3.90 per bushel. This marked a 2-cent rise from October, although it was 50 cents lower than the price in November 2023.
Soybean prices, on the other hand, decreased by 17 cents from October to November, settling at $9.73 per bushel, which was also $3.07 lower than the previous year.
The price of oats saw a positive trend, with an increase of 41 cents from October to $4.12 per bushel, and a 74-cent rise compared to November 2023.
Meanwhile, the price of hay in Wisconsin averaged $146.00 per ton in November, up by $9.00 from October and $6.00 higher than the same month in 2023.
Alfalfa hay prices were also up by $10.00 from the previous month, reaching $157.00 per ton, although this was $39.00 lower than November 2023.
Other hay prices dropped to $103.00 per ton, a $12.00 decrease from October and a $37.00 drop compared to the previous year.
Lastly, the average price for milk in Wisconsin stood at $22.90 per cwt, which was $2.50 lower than October but $2.70 higher than in November 2023, reflecting a mixed trend in dairy prices.
