Wisconsin Farmers Invited to Rock County Soil Health Event

Wisconsin Farmers Invited to Rock County Soil Health Event

By Blake Jackson

Farmers and agricultural enthusiasts are invited to an evening of learning and networking at the Rock County Farm in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, the program will feature Crops and Soils Educators, Will Fulwider and Josh Kamps, together with members of the Producer-Led Watershed Group, Farmers on the Rock.

The event, part of the FarmReadyResearch initiative, provides an opportunity to review results from this year’s small grain trials and gain practical insights into cover crop management.

Participants will have the chance to tour demonstration plots, explore management strategies, and connect with educators and peers who share an interest in improving soil health and crop production.

The evening begins with a complimentary meal at 6:00 p.m., followed by the educational program starting at 6:30 p.m. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required to ensure adequate arrangements.

The program welcomes producers from across Rock County and neighboring regions including Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Kenosha, Lafayette, Racine, Walworth, and Waukesha counties.

For more information or to register, contact Extension Educator Josh Kamps at 608-673-0680 or via email at joshua.kamps@wisc.edu.
