WPVGA Offering $6,000 in College Scholarship Awards

The Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association's Associate Division and Wisconsin Potato Growers Auxiliary is offering $6,000 in scholarship money to students at post-secondary institutions. The purpose of the scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to students whose immediate families are members of the WPVGA.

Another additional scholarship, named after the late-Avis M. Wysocki, will be awarded to the top candidate among all applicants. She was a founding member of the auxiliary and an integral part of the state's potato industry.

Selection for the scholarships will be based on the applicants' merit, financial need and career goals. They must attend an accredited school of higher education and have a satisfactory grade point average.

For more information about the scholarship program, call the WPVGA office at 715-623-7683. Applications are due by May 3.
