Over Heated Grain Dryer Prompts Didion Ethanol to React
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 09/10/2019
Managers of the Didion Ethanol milling plant in Cambria took no chances and shut down operations briefly on Monday after workers detected a rise in temperature in a grain dryer.
The company called the local fire department as a precaution, though no flames were spotted and no injuries were reported.
A release said Didion's safety systems were working as designed, while employees told authorities and followed all the required response protocol.
In May 2017, the facility was the scene of a massive explosion that killed five workers and sent 14 others to the hospital.
