Learn IPM for Greenhouses & Controlled Environments

Learn IPM for Greenhouses & Controlled Environments

By Blake Jackson

The University of Wisconsin Madison Extension is hosting a free educational webinar titled “Fundamentals of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for Greenhouses and Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)” on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

This virtual session is designed to help growers build a strong foundation in Integrated Pest Management practices within controlled environment agriculture systems.

It will focus on greenhouse production, high tunnels, and other controlled environments used for cultivating ornamental plants, edible crops, and industrial crops.

The program will be led by Allen R. Pyle, Statewide Horticulture Outreach Specialist with UW-Madison Extension. Participants will learn practical IPM strategies to improve pest control, reduce crop losses, and support sustainable production systems.

The webinar is open to all interested participants at no cost, but registration is required. It falls under the categories of crops and soils, as well as gardening and horticulture, making it relevant for both commercial growers and agricultural enthusiasts.

For more information or to register, participants can access the UW-Madison Zoom link or contact Allen Pyle directly at allen.pyle@wisc.edu.
