PDPW Announces Speakers for Apr 6 - 8 Weekly Dairy Signal



The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.

On Tuesday, a panel discussion of producers who use robotic milking systems will share their experiences with the technology. Panelists include Dan Venteicher, Honey Creek Dairy; Jared Feltz, Feltz Family Farms; and Dr. James Salfer, University of Minnesota Extension Professor.

Zoey Nelson of Brooks Farm 1855 and Heather Johnson from Alfalawn Farm will give a similar presentation on Wednesday's program, where they'll talk about automatic calf feeders.

And on Thursday, Terry Allen of Consumer Physics will join Dr. Luiz Ferraretto, a ruminant nutrition specialist with the UW-Madison-Extension, will talk about the SCiO Cup used by consultants and producers on the farm to measure dry matter in haylage, corn silages, small grain silages and other feed ingredients within a few minutes.

All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
