Soybean producers in two districts have until August 14 to vote for two members running for open positions on the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board. Candidates were nominated to represent districts 2 and 6.

Growers in District 2 have nominated Justin Bauer of Eau Claire. That area includes Buffalo, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, St. Croix, and Trempealeau Counties.

And Steve Wilkens, Random Lake, is running in District 6, which is made up of Jefferson, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha Counties.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture will mail ballots to eligible soybean growers in mid-July. Ballots must be postmarked on or before August 14.

Once elected, producers will serve three-year terms beginning September 1.
