Over 80 agriculture teachers from across the nation have been chosen as National Teachers Ambassadors by the National FFA Organization, including two from Wisconsin.
Emma Huber of Tomah and Jennifer Russell from Shullsburg were among those named this week by the agriculture education group for the program, where they will be provided tools to share information about FFA and agricultural education with their communities.
Teachers selected as ambassadors receive intensive training in June and July to learn and collaborate on educational resources. They will then present workshops and work with teachers to brainstorm and share ideas.
"Our ambassadors are our key communicators for us--not only by sharing information out in the field but also by sharing with us the challenges our teachers and advisors face every day," said FFA Program Officer Christine White. "Through this program, we equip teachers with the tools they need to be successful in not only developing future leaders but also in telling their stories."
The ambassadorship program is now in its fifth year.
