By Blake Jackson

Professional Dairy Producers will feature two educational sessions this week through its weekly The Dairy Signal program, offering dairy producers updated information on herd management and market conditions affecting the industry in 2026.

The Tuesday, May 26 episode will focus on improving reproductive performance on dairy farms. The session will examine current reproductive protocols, management strategies, and recent research findings designed to help producers strengthen herd efficiency and productivity.

The presentation will be led by Dr. Paul Fricke, a dairy reproduction specialist with the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Later in the week, the Thursday, May 28 episode will provide an overview of dairy market trends and policy developments during the second quarter of 2026.

Producers will also hear discussion on economic risks, industry volatility, and management considerations impacting dairy operations. The program will feature Leonard Polzin from UW-Extension.

Episodes of The Dairy Signal are accredited through Dairy AdvanCE, allowing dairy farmers, students, and industry professionals to earn continuing education units by viewing live or recorded programs.

Dairy AdvanCE serves as an online platform for tracking and managing continuing education credits within the dairy industry.

The Dairy Signal broadcasts live every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. Central Time. Participants can interact directly with presenters during live question-and-answer sessions, while recordings are made available shortly after each broadcast.
