Man Hurt in Vehicle vs. Tractor Accident

A 75-year-old man from Lyndon Station has life threatening injuries after the car he was driving struck a farm tractor on Tuesday. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the driver, who's name has not been released, hit the rear left tire of the tractor, which was traveling on the right shoulder of the road.

The mishap happened on County Hwy. HH near Lyndon Station. The crash resulted in the road being closed for about four hours.

The man was airlifted to UW-Madison Hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor, a 56-year-old Mauston man, had non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to an area hospital and later released.

The crash is under investigation.
