At the 2024 National Convention in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, American Agri-Women (AAW) awarded its prestigious Veritas Award to Amanda Radke. This honor is given to individuals who have exemplified a commitment to truth and public advocacy. Radke, a fifth-generation rancher from Mitchell, South Dakota, was recognized for her exceptional efforts to support agriculture, rural communities, and food security.
Radke, alongside her family, operates Radke Land & Cattle, an Angus seedstock operation. Her work highlights the resilience and dedication of American farmers. With nearly two decades of experience, Radke has traveled across the country to advocate for farming families, promote rural economic growth, and ensure access to safe food. She is a former National FFA Extemporaneous Speaking Champion and National Beef Ambassador, and she continues to inspire others through her writing, speaking, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Beyond her ranching activities, Radke has been a strong voice against the CO2 pipeline project in South Dakota, leading efforts to oppose Senate Bill 201, which she described as a threat to private property rights. Her leadership in this campaign underscores her dedication to protecting rural communities.
Radke also hosts The Heart of Rural America podcast and radio show, writes as a syndicated columnist, and is an author of children's books focused on agriculture. As a cattle industry consultant and co-founder of Bid On Beef, Radke demonstrates innovation in agriculture and serves on the National Agriculture Campaign Advisory Council, offering valuable advice to the U.S. House of Representatives Agriculture Committee.
