The Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU) is once again hosting its popular Farmers Union Day Camps across the state this summer.
These free, one-day events are designed for youth of all backgrounds and aim to spark interest in leadership, agriculture, and cooperation through engaging, hands-on activities.
Organized by local and county Farmers Union chapters, the camps reflect the core values of WFU community, cooperation, and support for family farms. Many of the camps will be held on active farms, offering a unique, real-world agricultural experience that connects young people directly to the land and the people who work it.
Campers will explore topics like farming, cooperatives, and leadership development, all while learning about the important role of family farms in building vibrant rural communities.
Youth already enrolled in the WFU Youth Program can count participation in a day camp toward their program requirements.
Open to the public and free to attend, the camps require pre-registration, which can be completed online at www.wisconsinfarmersunion.com/events.
For more details, families can contact Camp Manager Elizabeth Yost by emailing Camp@WisconsinFarmersUnion.com or calling (715) 382-0921.
