These forecasts are based on conditions as of September 1 and do not account for any weather changes that may have occurred since then. The next update, which will reflect conditions as of October 1, is scheduled for release on October 11.
For Wisconsin, the area harvested, yield per acre, and production figures are as follows: Corn acreage has decreased from 3.14 million acres in 2023 to 2.94 million acres in 2024.
Soybean acreage has remained steady at 2.12 million acres. The yield for corn is expected to rise to 182 bushels per acre, while soybeans are forecasted to yield 54 bushels per acre.
