Wisconsin Celebrates New Ambassadors in Agriculture and Pageantry


In an exciting weekend announcement, Wisconsin proudly introduced two exceptional winners who will represent the state in different capacities. Ashley Hagenow, hailing from Poynette, was chosen as the newest Alice in Dairyland, while Alexis Loomans, a native of Waunakee, claimed the prestigious title of Miss USA's Miss Wisconsin. These remarkable women have captured the hearts of their communities and earned the honor of representing Wisconsin's diverse agricultural industry and pageantry on a national stage.

Ashley Hagenow's appointment as Alice in Dairyland marks a historic moment as she becomes the first representative from Columbia County since the inception of the role in 1948. Graduating this month from the University of Minnesota with a degree in agricultural communication and marketing, Hagenow brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for connecting with others about agriculture. As Alice in Dairyland, she will serve as an ambassador for Wisconsin's thriving agricultural sector, promoting its importance and the hardworking individuals behind it.

On the other hand, Alexis Loomans secured a the significant achievement by becoming the first woman from Waunakee to be crowned Miss Wisconsin since the competition's inception in 1952. Currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin, Loomans is pursuing a degree in political science and government. Her win on her very first attempt at the title speaks volumes about her talent, grace, and determination.

Both Hagenow and Loomans faced strong competition in their respective contests, with a pool of exceptional finalists vying for the coveted titles. Shannon Lamb, Lydia Luebke, Jacquelyn Rosenbush, Charitee Seebecker, and Jodie Weyland showcased their remarkable skills and passion for agriculture during the Alice in Dairyland competition.

Likewise, the Miss Wisconsin pageant witnessed outstanding performances by Orland Park, Jade Flury, Jessica Hammer, and Jamie Fay, who displayed their talents and poise on the stage.

Wisconsin is proud to have these accomplished individuals represent the state, embodying the essence of its vibrant agriculture and the spirit of pageantry. With their unique backgrounds and dedication, Ashley Hagenow and Alexis Loomans are poised to leave an indelible mark on their respective roles, inspiring others and fostering a deeper appreciation for the agricultural heritage and beauty of Wisconsin.
