Wisconsin Senator Praises E15 Expansion, Boosting Ethanol Market

Wisconsin Senator Praises E15 Expansion, Boosting Ethanol Market

Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson has commended the recent announcement by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to allow year-round sales of E15 fuel, a blend of gasoline and 15% ethanol. The senator praised the EPA's decision, stating that it will boost the ethanol market, benefit Wisconsin farmers, and reduce America's dependence on foreign oil.

The new regulation, which went into effect in early May, replaces the previous summer restriction on E15 sales, which limited its availability between June 1st and September 15th. The EPA's decision is expected to create more demand for ethanol and help the industry recover from the economic fallout of the pandemic.

Senator Johnson's statement highlights the potential benefits of E15 for farmers and the agricultural industry. With ethanol being a product derived from corn, increased demand for E15 could stimulate growth in the corn market and provide a much-needed boost to rural economies. Additionally, using more domestically produced ethanol would decrease the reliance on foreign oil and promote energy independence.

The EPA's decision to allow year-round sales of E15 fuel has received praise from Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, who sees it as a significant step towards supporting the ethanol industry and reducing the country's dependence on foreign oil. The move is expected to create more demand for ethanol, benefit farmers, and stimulate rural economies, providing a much-needed boost to the agricultural industry.
