PDPW Announces Speakers for Weekly Dairy Signal

The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Wisconsin Restaurant Association CEO Kristine Hillmer will join Eric Skrum, director of public relations at Culver's, in discussing today's fluctuating environment in the foodservice industry, as well as a number of innovative opportunities that have
arisen in recent years.
Dr. Paul Fricke, Extension specialist in dairy cattle reproduction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Graduate Research Assistant Megan Lauber, M.S. will be Wednesday's guests. They will talk about the effect of weight versus age at calving on milk
production in the first lactation, and share strategies to optimize fertility to sexed semen in non-lactating heifers and lactating dairy cows.
And on Thursday, Economist Dan Basse of AgResource Company will present the latest news and analysis of agricultural markets and trends that will impact dairy producers and the ag industry.
