The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation has launched a new giving society called the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation Legacy Tree. This initiative recognizes individuals, families, counties, and businesses who have made lifetime donations or committed planned or estate gifts to support agriculture in Wisconsin.
The Legacy Tree is designed to celebrate those who contribute to the Foundation’s mission of creating informed consumers, building strong leaders, and supporting hardworking farmers. In 2024 alone, more than $390,000 was distributed to fund Foundation programs thanks to generous supporters.
To become a member of the Legacy Tree, individuals or families must donate at least $5,000 over their lifetime, or make any size of planned or estate commitment. County Farm Bureaus are recognized for $10,000 in cumulative giving, while businesses qualify with $50,000 in total contributions.
Members will receive special recognition throughout the year. Their names will be displayed on the Foundation’s website, in publications, and at the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December. The first group of Legacy Tree members will be honored at this event.
“We’re excited to have a lasting way to thank and recognize those who are highly invested in the Foundation’s mission,” said Foundation Director John Hromyak. “Our supporters serve as an example of how giving back can ensure a bright future for agriculture and we honored to be part of their legacy.”
Established in 1988, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation is committed to supporting agricultural education and leadership programs. Contributions help develop future leaders and informed citizens who understand the value of agriculture in everyday life.
Those who have already met the giving requirements will be contacted with further details about their membership. To learn more or to donate, interested individuals can visit the official website at wfbf.com/foundation.
