Cow-calf beef producers are invited to attend a free twilight meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Wolf Creek Angus, located at 35431 100th Ave. in Stanley, Wisconsin.
The event is hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension and aims to provide valuable insights on selecting herd replacements and managing fall forage.
Sponsored by the North Central Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association and the Extension Offices of Taylor, Clark, Chippewa, and Eau Claire Counties, the event begins with a pizza meal at 4:30 p.m., followed by a brief introduction to the host’s seedstock operation. Presentations by Extension livestock and crops educators will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the farm’s cattle handling facilities and network with fellow beef producers.
The event will take place rain or shine and includes walking, so participants are encouraged to bring rain gear, a lawn chair, and clean, washable footwear.
Attendees are asked to RSVP by August 29 by calling the UW Extension Taylor County office at 715-748-1413 with their name, contact information, and the number attending. Those who RSVP will be notified in case of cancellation or postponement due to weather.
To request accommodations such as interpreters or alternative materials, contact Sandy at sandra.stuttgen@wisc.edu or 715-748-3327 ext. 1 by August 14. These services are available at no cost.
